DANCEISM is back! Danceism is a collective ground for people of all colors, creeds, and social backgrounds to meet and interact through dance. It is an event, brand, and collection of artists. In 2010, Danceism will be hosting monthlys at the Echoplex. The first in the series is tonight with SonicC (Dim Mak), Ben Oprstu, Robot Love, Paul Devro (Mad Decent), Bones, and ASAA. With the addition of body paint, live visuals, live kinetic lighting, and more surprises, Dancesim is sure to show you a good time. Danceism is 18+, and only $10 w/ RSVP.
Chicago’s Hey Champ have released a free download remix-tape, “Winner’s Circle”. With remixes of Passion Pit, The Cool Kids, and The Sounds, the mixtape is 40 minutes of danceable bliss. The trio became known for their single “Cold Dust Girl” and opening up for Lupe Fiasco’s tour, and even jumping on board with his label, FNF. Not the most likely collab, but considering the ongoing success of the group and the stuff they’re putting out, we’ll take it. Get it here.
