Coming out of dubFrequency,Christian TV has done it again with another great remix, this time giving us his take of Miike Snow’s “Animal”. This definitely wasn’t the first remix of the track, but an original laid back feel makes it stand out above the others.

Texas native Matthew Dear has done a fabulous job of remixing The xx’s “VCR”. Kids growing up today will probably never use one, just as they will never know the sound of dial up internet, or the hassle of caring a huge CD book with your Walkman. Matthew Dear’s spin of the track gives it an optimistic twist. Naybe the VCR won’t last, but the beat will make you ask for a rewind.
The Brookly quartet’s song sounds like they could be the lost outtakes from Fleetwood Mac’s “Rumours” album, or B-sides for Chicago’s “Live at Carnegie Hall”. Catch them tonight at the Natural History Museum (early arrival strongly suggested)!
